This Privacy Policy is effective as of August 1, 2026. We may update it from time to time; the most current version will always be available in the app and at heartbeatrythm.com/privacy.

HEARTBEAT: Relationship Rhythm ("HEARTBEAT", "we", "us", or "our") is a relationship wellness app that helps you stay intentionally connected with the people who matter most. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We collect information you provide directly to us: your name and email address when you create an account, and the contact details you choose to add about the people in your life — such as names, phone numbers, email addresses, addresses, shared interests, notes, important dates, and music preferences. We also collect your approximate location (either your current location or a city/ZIP you enter) when you use the Meetups feature to find real nearby places — this is used only to search for venues and is not tracked in the background. We collect limited usage and device information (such as app version and locale) needed to operate the service. We do not access your device's address book without your explicit selection.

Your information is used only to operate and improve HEARTBEAT — to power reminders, calculate your Relationship Pulse, generate AI conversation starters and meetup or song suggestions, and plan meetups. We do not use your personal relationship data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

If you choose Sign in with Apple, we receive only the name and relay email address Apple shares with us, along with a secure identifier. We never receive or store your Apple ID password. This data is used solely for authentication and account access.

HEARTBEAT+ subscriptions are processed by Stripe, a secure third-party payment provider. When you subscribe, you are redirected to Stripe's hosted checkout page. We never handle, receive, or store your payment card details — Stripe processes all payments securely. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe billing portal link in the app's Settings or Heartbeat+ page.

With your permission, HEARTBEAT may send push notifications to remind you to reconnect with the people in your circles. You can manage notification preferences in the app's Settings or in your device's system settings at any time.

Your contacts, notes, meetups, song memories, and Relationship Pulse scores are stored securely in your personal account. This data is visible only to you and is used to provide the app's features. We do not share your relationship data with third parties.

The contact details you add about others (such as phone numbers and email addresses) are used to help you reach out and plan meetups. We do not contact the people you add, and we do not share their information with anyone else.

We collect anonymized, aggregated usage analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve features and stability. This data does not identify you personally and is not combined with your personal relationship data.

HEARTBEAT is a mobile application and does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies to track your activity. Our website may use essential cookies for security and performance only.

We rely on trusted third-party services to operate the app, including Apple (for Sign in with Apple), Stripe (for secure subscription payment processing), Apple Maps (for real venue search in meetup suggestions), Apple Music (for song catalog search in Send a Song), AI providers (for generating conversation starters and activity suggestions), and cloud infrastructure for secure data storage. Each provider is subject to its own privacy policy, and we share only the minimum data necessary to provide the service.

We protect your data using industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit and at rest and authenticated access controls that ensure only your account can access your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information using commercially acceptable safeguards.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the service. Anonymized, aggregated analytics may be retained longer for product improvement. When you delete your account, your personal data is removed as described below.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to opt out of certain data processing. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the app, or by contacting us at support@heartbeatrythm.com.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time. To do so, open the app, go to Settings, and tap Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account, contacts, meetups, saved ideas, group circles, reminders, notes, song memories, notification events, push subscriptions, check-ins, and subscription records. You may also request deletion by contacting support@heartbeatrythm.com. This action cannot be undone.

HEARTBEAT is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Your continued use of HEARTBEAT after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
